Using Self-Determination?

Movemeant works with individuals participating in California’s Self-Determination Program, providing personalized fitness and movement coaching that supports each person’s individual goals.

We understand that navigating funding and FMS requirements can feel complicated. YOur goal is to make the process as simple as possible so you can focus on what matters most—building strength, confidence, independence, and a healthier relationship with movement.

Already Have an FMS?

We currently work with participants using Accura FMS and GT Independence, and we’re happy to coordinate with other FMS providers as needed.

How It Works

1. Tell us about your goals
We’ll learn about the participant, their interests, abilities, and what they hope to accomplish.

2. Confirm funding & onboarding
We’ll work with you and your FMS to complete the necessary provider onboarding.

3. Start Moving
Once everything is approved, we begin personalized one-on-one sessions built around the individual.

Meet Andreas

Movement should create more freedom -not more limitations.

I’m Andreas Woerner, founder of Movemeant. I’ve spent nearly a decade working as a personal trainer and movement coach, but my approach has never been about simply counting reps or putting someone through a workout.

I believe movement is one of the most powerful tools we have for building strength, confidence, independence, and a greater sense of possibility.

With a B.A. in Psychology and experience working with children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities, I’ve learned that great coaching starts with understanding the person in front of you.

Every individual communicates differently. Learns differently. Moves differently. And is motivated by different things.

That’s why I don’t believe in forcing people into a predetermined fitness program.

I build the program around the person.

Sometimes that means developing strength and coordination. Sometimes it means improving mobility or learning to feel comfortable in a gym. Sometimes the biggest victory is trying something new, completing a task independently, or discovering for the first time that movement can actually be enjoyable.

My training philosophy prioritizes quality of movement, real-world function, joint health, confidence, and sustainable progress over simply doing more.

Through my work with individuals participating in California’s Self-Determination Program, I’ve also seen how powerful it can be when people are given greater choice in the services—and the people—they bring into their lives.

That idea is at the heart of Movemeant.

Meet people where they are. Discover what they’re capable of. And use movement to help them experience more freedom in everyday life.
